Post examples of the affects of your osu! addiction, other than the obvious lose sleep/job deal.

This morning, I called a loaf of sliced bread a "slider".

It does have two distinct ends and many segments in between. Velocity is relatively constant, too (around four slices are removed per day).

I just stopped doing homework and pulled up the osu! forums. Although this is more procrastination than anything else.

I was in a computer lab doing work with in a group today at uni and had a really bad urge to go to osu.ppy.sh :(

This, and I oftentimes think of how I would map or SB a song when I listen to it. This was a lesser issue when I wasn't able to create maps back when all I knew was EBA, but it was still there.

Yeah, what I meant was that I almost say it by accident but I catch myself before it comes out.

I "mod" people's homework all the time. Especially when they're unsure whether what they wrote actually made any sense.

On topic, I tend to sometimes tap to a beat I'm listening to. Normal, you say? not when I try sliding sliders and spinning spinners. Once or twice my friends have been completely confused as to what I was doing when I'm listening to music and spinning furiously with a pen and piece of paper...

Not at all. I only use a mouse, but I have Ouendan2 and EBA, so I get it from that.
Ekaru
I sometimes visually see maps in my head when listening to a song.

Also what Azure said. Heck, sometime I just play the music in my head and don't need any music playing.

I am a sad, sad soul, huh?

you know how some people tap to the rhythm with their finger/pen/whatever? Well, osu! worsened this bad habit of mine. Now I use all of my fingers (sometimes even on both hands) and I tap to the beat/melody with the right amount of fingers inbetween taps to live by beatspacing.
TheeAcey
I'm definitely in the addicted category and i have mainly lost homework time over this game cause i always ask myself, why not one more song?

bad bad bad question! lol
Sonnyc
I didn't uploaded a project at the school.
So I should say "sorry I forgot to upload the project"
but I almost said "sorry I forgot to upload the beatmap"

I want someone with a touch screen to show up, just to spite you all! ... Except I suppose that's what the iPhone version would be for, huh? SO WHAT NOW?!

So far the extent of my addiction has been loss of sleep and throwing Taiko and osu! into my mound of "silly games I picture music to in my head" next to DDR and some random personal thing that will probably never happen.

I like doing things to music. The more things I am exposed to... the more i start shouting "3 2 1 Go!" in the car on the way to work every time a song starts up...

[Taiko]When I play badminton and I am doing badly I imagine that the shuttlecock is a beat I have to hit on the scrolling track. I also spin around in celebration when I do well. *cough*pippi-don*cough*[/Taiko]

osu helped me in collecting more random songs (especially touhou ones) and it really affect me in life. for example. i always think of sliders, beats and all that stuff. how to pass a certain song that made me go balistic sometimes.

Osu! really make me an addict but still its awesome

I had/have similar but with stepmania - mostly since I used more time with stepmania - and where the stepmania thought train of songs transforms into snapping fingers by song how the stepchart would o - and i mean - the dude on US talent is pretty much NOTHING compared to my snapping speed >.>

Osu has affected this: in 4 days I played it more than Audiosurf - and many other games. (like killing floor and UT3 it seems)

Aside from that than also helping me find several songs too and making me just play tons of it osu addiction hasn't done anything. As said I have no problem of thinking sliders of anything. It's mostly since I already am so into music in general that music games are side of thing and I can think of a beat by my own without thinking of sliders etc.

Still yes - osu - awesome.

I would code an Osu! visualizer if I had the time, but sadly i'm working on a different Osu related project. But it would really be nice to just see a beatmap form before your eyes while listening to music.

osu! what.
5ku112
You can make your own Visualizers for this one mp3 player, I was thinking of coding something Osu! themed.
Wojjan
don't do itttt

What is it going to do? Make the osu! logo fade in and out to a BPM? Make tons of them bounce around? Have a looping animation of Pippi dancing for 3 frames?
lukewarmholiday
Dancing touhou silhouettes would grasp the nature of osu! quite well, do it. It would be perfect osu! visualization theme
