You could also play a bit of 1-2 star maps to get that feeling of getting every hit accurately and slowly make your way up to 3 stars
watch a replay and look at your ur bar to see if you're hitting early/late. also you can check out your ur in general to see how accurate your hits are.
i have not used stable in forever but i am very sure this process is easier if you import a replay to lazer and watch it there or just quit osu and play etterna instead (both have pretty neat graphs which show whether you're pressing early/late and by how much)

Think you just need more hours for now, don't worry too much on the accuracy.
able to read and able to read are two different definitions, you should start with 1* 2* with high acc to train your acc and consistency first and slowly make progress
