What speed do we actually tap at?

What I mean by this is, for example, if you were to consistently stream a solid 200bpm, your fingers obviously aren't tapping at that bpm. If you find a video of a 200bpm metronome, it sounds just way too low. So what do they tap at?
I've always been curious about this because I've just never known how to tell what bpm I'm actually tapping at. I can say I'm streaming 200bpm, and I understand what that means in terms of osu!, but, out of curiosity, I just want to know what speed I'm actually streaming at.

i might be COMPLETELY wrong cause I have no idea how mapping actually works but i think most maps are mapped in 1/3rd so 200bpm streams are actually 600bpm (you are allowed to bully me if this is wrong)

1/2, with streams being 1/4, not 1/3 which is for triplet rhythms or swing songs

200bpm streaming is tapping 800 times a minute

But 1/3 is not actually streaming if the metronome is 1/4
