I'd like it if you could drag to scroll, instead of dragging the scrollbar (Think of the hand tool in Adobe Reader), or something similar, this would be specially useful for people with tablets/touchscreen.
Myself, I just dislike scrollbars.

you can always just use things like the mouse wheel or the page up/page down keys, but i could see this being used

This seems a good idea imo even I use the mouse wheel. The click through issue for the chat should be removed by this.

It'll be good for tablet users.

There's currently no text selection support so there's one less problem to worry about lol.

Text support can be applied with double click on the text to enable selection mode, which disables scrolling until you click in a place with no text in it. (The firefox addon I use for scrolling does this.)

Interesting. Would you mind telling me what is that add-on?
By the way, there should be also a text selection so we can easily copy to clipboard.
