[Archived] Monitor Stuck at 24hz without complatibilty mod.

Problem details: Monitor stuck at 24hz when Compatibility mod is turned off.

The probleme is, when i have Compatibility mode turned on, when i alt tab, sometimes i get a black screen for like 5 sec, and i need to alt tab 3/4 sometimes 7 times to get my osu game back.

But when the Compatibility mod is turned off, my monitor get stuck at 24hz.

I tried to update multiple times my GPU drivers, it does not fix anything.

I usually get around 0.5ms, and no lag spikes so it's not because of my hardware.




GPU: AMD RX 6600XT / driver 23.5.2 (latest driver)
CPU: Ryzen 5 5600X


osu! version: Stable 20230326 (latest)

The compatibility mode alt-tab thing is known process of compatibility mode, and turning it off is unfortunately the only way to resolve that, iirc.

So it might not be a portion of your hardware, but it is hard to believe that osu! cannot run on your, specced out computer.

Do you have multiple monitors? Are you running osu! through a monitor that is set at 24hz?

If you switch release streams or something of the sort within the game does this help at all?

I have 2 monitors, one is 144hz and the 2nd is 60hz, when i switch from the 144hz to the 60hz monitor, nothing changes and it keeps displaying 24hz on BOTH monitor.
