Can claiming yourself to be a cheater get you banned?

Thinking about two different hypothetical cases for this
First, you are a good player and aren't a suspected cheater, then you claim that you cheated.
Second, you are a suspected cheater but nobody has a clear conclusive evidence that you cheated, then you claim that you cheated.
You don't show how you cheated in both of these. What will happen?

Whether or not you're actually a cheater doesn't matter because in an outsider's perspective nobody knows

Will just claiming yourself to be a cheater be taken seriously into consideration without having enough proof?

if you are bad at game probably not because nobody cares, but try seeking attention in some other way

it's a bit like saying you steal from stores irl

e: a better analogy would be being an athlete and telling everyone you use steroids or restricted substances

I don't think so. Unless someone has solid evidence of you cheating, then you probably wouldn't get punished for it. It'd look pretty bad for osu if they just ban someone because they themselves claimed that they're cheating.

You'd probably at least get some level of investigation as a matter of course. But for A.) it'd amount to nothing and you'd be ignored, and for B.) you're just outing yourself for no reason, especially if its cheating that can be found out by current methods but isn't immediately obvious without actually sitting down to review (as in, a casual one-off view of your replays won't find serious problems, but someone trying to actually look for foul play will notice stuff).


Still stupid either way, though.

For B What i meant was like people really cant find or figure out what cheating methods you used, you just look very suspicious.

This question was mostly because I was curious what would happen to players currently suspected of cheating if they just say they are cheating but without giving proof.
