When you know what the word means, but you don't know what the word actually is...

I F*CKIN HAAAAAAAAAAATE THIIIIIIIIIIIIISSSSSSS!!!

It has happened to me soooooooooooo often! >:( >:( >:(

And like 99% of the time when I try to look for a word, they just don't tend to have a clue of what I'm ACTUALLY talking about!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Despite of me trying my best to explain it! WHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!?!?!?!?

It's like being able to perfectly memorize the melody of a song, but then the lyrics are just a scribbled mess instead of y'know THE LYRICS!!!

I was literally looking for this word RIGHT NOW!!!

It looked like this, but I somehow can NOT say what this word actually is, because I have NO IDEA WHAT THIS WORD IS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok this also happened very recently, in fact it happened right now as I was trying to post something in OT!!! And now I can't even be able to write that post, because I don't know this stupid fricking word!!!!! :( :( :( :( :(


And of course there were so many incidents that actually happened like this:

I want to explain..

Suddenly a word that I want to speak of gets missed out...

I am trying to explain it in the other way around...

My dialogue becomes completely broken and is now a mess, because no one can understand it..

I RAGE! >:(

Discussion ends WAY TOO AWKWARDLY....GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!

And then the cycle continues...

From childhood to teenagerhood..

All the time.. ;w;

(I hope someone can understand of what I am saying right now...or else you guys must DIE! :ganondorf face:)

Yeah sometimes happens to me when I forget words in english. Being descriptive enough of what the word's concept is on a google search usually helps me find what it is. If I can't, I substitute it with a synonym.

Would you mind describing what word you're trying to find? I could help with it.

sorry I can only explain it with an image...



so this thing always moves sideways and turns like one of these swings that kids always use in the playground, but like it's just sideways not forwards and backwords..

and it's been used to make the babies happy..

you know these generic moments of mommy softly swinging it for the baby to relax...

sorry I can only explain it with an image...

Maybe lullaby; rocking bed for baby or something like that

Happened to me often, sometimes in ukrainian despite me knowing the word in english, with the fact that I know ukrainian from the beginning

That's how I end up using english words in the middle of a french sentence sometimes :cry:

Same for me :cry: a few days ago i had a presentation and i literally forgot a word on german that i had to say it on English to finish the sentence. and that was pretty embarrassing. Then, my teacher said the word to german afterwards.

me when I somehow have to use german words to complete english sentences..

this can also happen in the german language too.. :cry:

lmao I completely forsaken my filipino language so now I substitute words I don't know in filipino with english. Good thing the philippines is a filipino-english speaking country so I always get away with it.

I usually have the tendency to only think and speak (only to myself of course) in japanese when I handle anything regarded to japan. It's actually a pretty good way to improve your speaking and form proper sentences in your target language.

Yup you're right, it's super convenient to do this especially if you don't necessarily take japanese lessons. The best thing would be to watch videos and livestreams in japanese to force you to speak and listen to the language or at least get you used to it. I guess I'm not teaching you anything, it's already obvious enough.

You get the gist of it. Getting more exposure to the language important but what's essential is that you're understanding what you're speaking and consuming. That includes understanding the grammar, vocabulary, listening, context clues, etc.
