Severe pain in pen hand whilst playing

Problem details: i switched to tablet a couple days ago as my mouse is broken and i have noticed after playing for maybe 1-2 minutes i get very strong pain down the sides of my hand and where my palm meets my wrist. i don't mean just like a small ache i mean, like, i have to quit about 5 seconds after the pain starts as mopving my pen is too painful

i am wondering what this could be caused by (e.g pen grip etc.)

any help is appreciated :)

This happened to me for a long while, after playing for like 2 minutes straight the pain made it really hard to keep going, turned out it was a grip issue (at least for me), I held my pen too tightly and pressed against my tablet too hard, try really focusing on that next time you play, if you see an improvement then its probably that and you just need to focus on fixing it.

It's probably because of your grip OR your area. I recently started playing on a tablet and not gonna lie, I have no pain (except that my pen slips when I play too long maps but that's another issue lol)

thanks, i love gd colon :)

i would probally have to assume its grip as my play area is quite small and i hold a pen toi write quite unusually
