so I have this pretty weird issue where whenever I hold my mouse button down, my game works ok, still not the best but it is playable, but when I don't hold my mouse button down my frame is constantly below 100 and stays around 50 which I don't get why. I have tried to reinstall the game, and it worked but only for about a month and I'm not trying to reinstall all my songs every month because of this and repairing osu doesn't do shi either

Thats a really strange issue. Could potentially be a polling rate/report rate issue, what is your mouse's report rate? You normally find this in your mouse's software like for a logitech mouse you go to logitech G Hub -> ur mouse -> sensitivity and is shows it down the bottom. Also what mouse are you using? is there any difference if you use a different mouse?

I'm currently using a logitech G203 and the report rate is at 1000

ok so I tried it with another mouse as well and it seems to work fine so maybe it might be something with ghub

Could be GHub perhaps. A lot of the time when we see white spikes like these, lowering the polling rate a bit helps. But I don't see how that explains the whole mouse button thing, so not sure, you could try it anyway I guess.

Out of curiosity, are you using any software that could be putting an overlay on the game by chance? Like Discord for example?

the only overlay I had on was the discord overlay but I did turn it off and it did help little bit and also by lowering the polling rate did help a lot to where its playable now but yea idk whats up with the button thing its weird
