"Kenji Ninuma - DISCO PRINCE [Normal] (No Mod)" [-Julien-]'s Challenge !

Hello Everyone !


As Everybody knows, Disco Prince is the first Ranked Beatmap of the entire game !
So, Since almost 2 months, i tryhard to surpassing my PB at this map and i would like (if it's possible and only if those persons are motivated) to join me on the quest about still searching to improve our scores at Disco Prince ?

You are convinced ? ok, i appreciate pretty much ^^ So, now, Please follow these rules (because, i have for goal to achieve the highest score as possible on Disco Prince, on "Normal" Difficulty, and without any mods "No Mod plays only that means").

Now, THE RULES :
  1. 1 - Already... Please don't cheat !
  2. 2 - Please Play : Disco Prince on "Normal" Difficulty (link : https://osu.ppy.sh/beatmapsets/1#osu/75).
  3. 3 - Please Play without any mods ! (No Mod Plays are only allowed for this challenge/quest)
  4. 4 - And... Finally, Play for fun ! This indeed, the most important in my opinion.
By The Way, i hope this post wasn't useless, but i know it's an old map now and play this with "No Mod context plays" haven't very much interest for the major part of osu! players i guess lol.

So, for finish this topic start... i would like to tell : Enjoy as much as possible your future plays and don't hesitate to reply on this topic if you have any questions or some remarks, i will reply to you on this topic :)

By the way, i'm little pissed off because i have currently 446 tries on this map and i'm stuck at 1x100 play with NM... :(

i recommend you should tap a bit earlier, because the bpm and offset is a bit off on this beatmap...

either tap earlier or set the offset at around +20

Hey ^^ ! Thank you for your advice, but a person from the community told me the offset is like +15 or something like that if i remember correctly.
So, i wouldn't like to change manually the offset, i know this map is pretty offset :( but in my opinion, to change the offset of the game manually or the mouse sensibility (for exemple) directly into the osu! settings cannot help at long term...

You don't really need to change the offset as I FC'd Disco Prince with DTHRFL without changing the offset (To put that into perspective the OD with DTHR is roughly OD 10.08, but it would probably help).

Good luck SSing though, Disco Prince does have some weird timings. I'll probably use this as inspiration to finally 4mod the map, I used to be #25 on the leaderboard, but after a year and a half I'm now at #40

challenge for others: go riviclia mode. 0% background dim, default skin. see how high of a score you can get

541 jesus, but congrats nonetheless. It'd be probably more time effiecient if you played other maps during that time though.

To be honest, i don't focus all of my time on it. i switch between 2 playstyles/skillsets :
1 - Disco Prince NM SS
2 - Play 1-1.5* Maps with 4 mods + vibrospin (hit 477 rpm on the spinners) and try to SS them

I'm rarely into SSing or playing maps above 2.5-3* to be honest because : low diff maps is the type of play that i enjoy at osu, so, i will private me the pleasure of the game if i play just for improve the "star rating skill".

You guys are actually so talented! :D

I attempted this as a newbie. I got the first section down. Then I went into the editor to practice the second section. I eventually got it pretty good, but now my tapping hand really hurts, so I'm gonna take a break.

Thanks for the fun challenge, it really got me out of my slump!
