As a long time fan of the series I thought I should play the games in chronological order (lore wise, not release date)
After actual years of not doing it I finally started and finished Ace Combat Zero: The Belkan War today

I now have to go through
  1. Ace Combat 04: Shattered Skies
  2. Ace Combat 5: The Unsung War
  3. Ace Combat 6: Fires of Liberation
  4. Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown
I'm skipping 1, 2, 3 and X because they're too old and barely playable nowadays (also I've replayed 3 not so long ago already :D)
I'll keep this thread as a personal note because why not

While you wait listen to this banger OST

Now you can all go and play these games, aside from 7 you can easily play them on emulators, they aged really well

Never heard of it. Is it an aerial fighting game or does it have some story to it? All I get from google are fighter aircrafts.

Also the youtube video you linked is unavailable

It has a story, all games are set in the same universe at different times (usually the year the game comes out IRL), each takes place during a conflict and you play an ace pilot in one of the armies
It's more or less a fictionalized version of reality so it's really easy to understand (if you don't go too deep in the lore)

Video is still available for me, this thread is sponsored by NordVPN btw

It's definitely worth it, Zero and 5 are still good on emulator if you don't have a great pc, 4 has some issues though
They're not really realistic, it's more an arcade game than a simulator

I have extensive experience in FNAF lore so I could probably manage through this game's lore aswell

Finished 4

The last mission is so good, banger music, adrenaline and tunnels

Also decided to do Arcade mode in 5 since it takes place just after 4

It's fun (and easy)

Ace Combat[a] (often stylized as ACE COMBAT) is an arcade flight action video game franchise developed and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment since 1995. Done with 5 UwU

Damn you belkans

I hope 6 works on emulator :D

They made a series of videos retelling the story of the games, that's pretty cool
They leave out a lot of details but they're pretty good

It kinda does but with lots of visual artifacts making it very unpleasant

Unfortunately there's only one Xbox360 emulator and it's not updated very often, I might just skip this one :(
