Hey everyone, recently I've experienced a thing some might call a skill wall and honestly i'm unsure how to get out of this one.

Generally I can fc up to 6,3 - 6,4 stars with relatively good accuracy (NM) however, my main goals as of now is being able to fc 7 stars and reach 4 digit but in my current improvement rate it might take a long time before I achieve those goals. I guess my question is, what is the best way to get out of a skill wall when you don't know what to improve?

You are not the only one who has to deal with this. Literally everyone once felt that they were not able to go any further than now. You feel like you have reached your limit, but it's just an illusion. Of course there are things you can't do right now, but most of the time if you feel like you have the ability to FC a map, maybe you have the capacity to do so. Don't put a limit on yourself by thinking that your improvement rate is too slow to be able to FC a map that you want to FC.

Regularly play maps that will help you to achieve your goal and everything should be fine. Hopefully this will help you :)

Going through this right now. Been playing the game every day for the past month. I'm lower in skill than you but I think the best thing for you and I both is to take a short break then get back into it.

i cant even FC some 4 stars, so for me too slow, i try use for them HR, but it make me out of rythm, approach rate is just strange. Generally i cant FC anything repeatedlym without mistake. Its basically true wall not what you talking about. I dont know what should i play to get better so i started improve low difficult mod and no mod until i get bored. I basically dont have extensive skillset, suck at streaming, everything.

I personally think that the skill wall is 50% your skill and 50% your mindset. Once you notice that you aren't improving as fast as you used to or you're performing bad recently, it can slowly snowball into a wall stacked on top of an already big physical wall when you reach your limits.

My advice is to push through your thoughts and limits and constantly keep at it until you'll eventually be able to break through it, or at least that's how I overcame them. Have a positive mindset, keep playing maps that improve your skill, never give up. And sometimes when you finally break the wall you can get a good skillboost.

There is basically two schools of thought here.
  1. You take a short break. This has it's merits. I heard some streamer/professional gamer (don't ask me who, I genuinely can't remember) a while back, talk about the importance of taking long breaks. It can help break bad habits, because one you get back all of your habits have depreciated, and therefore can be changed more easily.
  2. On the other hand, pushing through could also be the way to go. I would say that this "skill wall" could just be next big leap in difficulty. One way of looking at this could be as a large amount of potential energy for your growth.
Whatever happens I believe in you! One of our great strengths as humans is our unique ability to overcome large difficulties!

And it's mostly right because it's such a universal piece of advice there's no way you can say against these
