so i just set a 277pp as a low 6 digit, was very proud of it and i just realised that i haven't gained any pp or rank, my previous top play was 231pp.

It probably wasn't updating your stats before, sometimes this happens.
To make it update, if it happens again -- simply submit another score on any maps and you should see your stats updating!
