Hello everyone,

About 3 months ago, I opened a topic here because I was suffering from the same problem again. I will talk to you a little bit about the same problem. I started playing osu! initially to warm up my hands and improve my muscle memory for FPS games (I'm sorry to hear that). Later on, my focus shifted and I really fell in love with the game and wanted to improve in it (not just for aim). At first, my muscle memory wasn't enough, but I tried to learn doubletapping when I reached 5-6 star levels. Before that, I got frustrated because I couldn't do it and stopped playing for a month, but I came back recently. I have difficulty playing slow maps and find them harder, so I usually play 5-6* maps. However, as you can see in the video, I'm still not good, and for some reason, I can't seem to improve.(I know that my problem is really with accuracy) so I really want to hear your help and suggestions on this matter. I'm really hyped about this game, so I hope you can help me.

Also, I'm very sorry for my poor performance in the video and for any discomfort it may have caused your eyes.

Best regards.^^

I assume you mean the AR (Approach rate) by the maps being too slow for you?

If that is the case, you could right click on a lower star map, go to "edit", go to "song setup" then go to "difficulty" and change the approach rate to however much you want.

I have trouble reading ar 7 maps because it is too slow, so that is what I do.

Note: The maps will not be ranked after you changed the settings, but you could always update the map back to it's original settings.

This is the only solution I could find for this.
I have no clue what to say if this isn't an AR reading problem.

I find what you're saying to be reasonable and I will definitely try it, but I think my main problem is that I rush too much and sometimes my fingers can't keep up with the speed, causing me to miss or even get stuck on some notes. I am practicing a lot and trying to play every day, but I am still struggling with the same issue.

So then I think you just need to learn how to control your speed first then.
Train for higher speed after.
I have this issue with streams under and over 190-200bpm.

I think controlling and learning this is the real problem and the challenging part. Ahaha

Yeah it is hard to control your speed. Still stuck on it myself.
Though it will be worth it once you do get control over your speed

Go for fcs more!!

What I do when i play the game is i pick one difficulty from a mapset, play to fc it, if i can't then I'd just drop to a lower difficulty until i get one that i can fc.

Then I'd try to fc the diff above it and work my way up by fcing more and more.

Even if you can't fc the lowest difficulty, its fine, just make sure you keep working on improving the scores closer and closer to the fc

Becoming consistent at easy stuff is very helpful on becoming better at harder stuff as you could focus on hitting the harder stuff more in the harder diffs as you'd require less effort on the easy stuff, making you able to understand patterns properly and avoid bad habits

hi there,
you may try this :

- Download 3000+ maps
- Sort those maps by difficulty
- Play them all once in this order
- Don't skip stuff
- Don't use HR (DT is fine)

Enjoy your improvement !
