[resolved] Spinner showing default since patch

Problem Details:
I was using a custom spinner made out of a bunch of random dark pieces (it has the classic style) but ever since the patch it reverted to the new default one.
I'm not sure how much stayed from my custom skin in it but it seems the background is at least black while the spinning circle is the default blue one.

osu! version: 20131129.1 (latest)

I tried other skins and comparing my spinner files to them but it seems like they're the same.. only difference is that theirs work while mine doesn't.

Uncheck this in Options > Skin tab:

oh thanks a lot I didn't notice that was a new option.
It was unchecked though.. so I checked, tried playing and it's the same.. unchecked it again and tried and no change.

Any idea why that's happening anyway?
I checked the file naming and resolution of files but it seemed like they varied from skin to skin (the resolution only not the name) and so it seemed weird to me that only mine didn't work.
I also just tried replacing my files with others from random skins and, from what I saw, it didn't work apart from "Clear" and "Spin".. probably the problem is in my folder?

By the way, I don't mind changing it as I only used it because it was dark and didn't strain my eyes at all.. also worked great with the Nikov5 cursor that I had before having to use this yellow one due to the default spinner circle (bright blue on bright blue.. wouldn't recommend that..).

Did you add Version: 2 to your skin.ini or something? That will override the setting.
Also, if your skin is called "User", please rename it (user will override to new settings).

I don't know what's Version: 2 so I don't think I used it, but yeah.. I never renamed my folder so it was User.. once I changed it it solved the problem.. yay!

since you're here I thought I wanted to ask a question.. what's the actual hitbox/size of the cursor in the game?
I mean, I saw different sizes for the different cursor files (50x50, 40x40, 100x100 etc) but what's the real value of it in game.

edit: also am I crazy or did so many rankings change all of a sudden?
