how can you be saddened by a song if you don't even know what she's talking about?
-Seren-
the rhythm of the song and or how the vocalist deliver the vocals could make someone sad, imo

Before learning Japanese, you should learn English

Music can convey a shitton of emotions without really having words, including sadness

ie.

(Sorry if I posted the wrong link. I'm at a school computer and can't use sound atm, so I can't check it.)

Vocals are kind of like another instrument, and through proper composition and emotional output and shit like that, a song you won't understand can end up having a lot of emotional impact.

UNRELATED BUT Bold text doesn't make you sound bolder. It makes you actually sound less bolder since you need artificial assistance to make your words impactful instead of just having strong word choice to convey what you want to say.

some songs can be deceptively sad-sounding if you don't know the language though :x
