SEMI-OPEN - You can make a request but I am busy, so it might take longer to mod your map
CLOSED - Don't make a request, I won't mod it right now
- Finished maps only (it can be single diff, but finished)
- Star Rating not higher than 7.00
- No meme songs
- Song length not more than 5 min
- Song types I will mod (if your song type is not here, you can still try but chances are lower):Preferable Song Types
- Japanese: rock, pop, metal
- Female vocals
- Hitsounded is cool, I will mod them, but if you are not going for rank I don't care if you don't have them
- If you are beginner, your map should be at least timed well. If you are not sure about your timing there is timing thread for this. Some minor offset issues are okay. I also will probably tell you if your timing is wrong, but don't expect me to time your map (unless I will have mood for that)
- I can't properly mod tech maps. Don't request them.
- In cases when I think you lack some basic knowledge, therefore your map is hard to mod since the only way to fix it - is remapping, I will provide general feedback.
- Request MUST follow form below
- Artist - Song name
- Genre and/or language
- Map URL \\ Song length (or map drain)
- Difficulty you want me to mod (skip this, if you want entire spread or have only 1 diff)
Example of Request:
- Shigure Ui - Ui Mugibatake de Tsukamaete
- j-pop
- beatmapsets/2265446#osu/4823318 \\ 3:41
From my perspective beginners are people who are not familiar with at least one or more topics:
- Proper Rhythm Choice
- Sections Intensity
- Flow
- Spacing Emphasize
- Contrast
- Basic Patterning
First of all, before making a request I would like you to watch this entire playlist if you haven't watched it yet: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLp7-THR1EUHERrIOV4dGClCGGoLIrQtOx
Second, don't expect your map to be ranked. Even 100+ mods won't make your map good enough if it has bad initial design. If you want to rank your maps, learn how to map first, so you can have solid fundamentals of your map and people will polish it with mods and not remake it as whole.
Third, when I give general feedback you don't need to make any changes to the map. I am just showing some ideas from your own map and how it can be improved or should be done just so you learn from it and make your next map better, not this one.
Lastly, there is "simple" way of getting better at mapping: Create a Map -> Ask for a feedback. Repeat previous step until you finally know how to map. Easy to say - hard to do, but it is how it works. If you create 100 maps and never asked for a feedback your learning process will be extremely slow. Be smart, learn from others and don't be afraid of constructive criticism. If you follow this steps, who knows, maybe you will be the next innovative genius in mapping world
Final suggestion. Never delete your maps. Let them be in graveyard and at some point in future you will look back on what you've created and see your progress over time. It's natural to not like your old maps, but that's a good sign you are improving!
