Im currently at a high 3 star lvl, I can get above 95% accurcy easily on most high 3* maps, but whenever I come across a map that has a long stream, or requires speed I get lost in the notes. My eyes keep unfocusing. Does anyone know how i can prevent this, and in general become better at reading?

try playing very high 4 star songs on half time, its as if you are playing a bit slowed down 4 star songs down and i think it is the key to getting used to 4 star patterns over time

Play more maps that has those types of patterns. If you don't have much difficulty playing maps without those patterns then it's probably just you need to work on the weakest parts of your skillset.

I'm in a similar boat right now, but this sounds like a really interesting idea that I'll have to try myself.

Obviously I can't give too much advice when im practically the same skill level as you, but I can echo some good points that helped me:
The major one to remember - The star system is a pretty bad judgement of difficulty, and it gets more apparent the closer you play to your skill limit. There are many high 3* songs i can get 95%+ on, and then quite a lot that I scrape by with an 88%, despite being rated lower. So just kinda keep playing and some songs will feel better than others.
Play/Set up multiplayer lobbies with host rotation and difficulty limits to help expand your map library. The best way to improve is variety.

If you haven't already, take another look at Zenith's Accuracy Guide and the video at the bottom to see if there is something you might be missing.
If you're having trouble focusing your eyes due to a lack of consistent focal points, try moving your Judgement meter to the center of the screen (it seems obvious now but I only realized I should do this a few weeks ago).

hey you! came across you in forums and thought i’d reply to this. i’m also in that same skill level, can pass majority of 3* maps, but can also get B on some 3* maps. honestly depends on my dedication to the game at the moment and such. fatigue hits me like crazy after like an hour or so of playing, so usually i just stop for the day. anywho, i’ve been realllyyy trying to get better with 4* and even 4.5* charts lately, so i’ll take your advice here. my acc’s way better, but i definitely gotta improve my reading abilities with 4* charts. ty for the advice and nice to see you again :)
