I have been playing osu! Need someone to explain how not to suck

I played since 2018, i got to 5 digits in 2020-2021-ish. Now it's almost 2023 and I haven't even fc'ed the big black.

How do you play this game?

I'm struggling fcing normal jump maps because I've been playing hdhr and hddt this past couple of months

A player told me to not do HDHR almost immediately, and play the maps as intended. Since you became 5-digit, it is recommended that you play maps that fit your preferred style of play, and get that muscle memory in. Afterwords, you can go HD, and then play non-HD, but HR. After that, combine those two together after more muscle memory forming.

I feel like I wasn't playing right because I set my mouse dpi and sensitivity way too high. My setting was 6600dpi and 0.55x. I couldn't focus on tapping, figured lowered it to 3000dpi with normal sensitivity. I think it's slightly much better now. Thanks
