Map: The way this happened was (I think) that there was a BPM change (210-160) and when I changed it, the rest of the fucking objects somehow resnapped automatically to the new lower BPM and spaced themself out on the timeline according to the objects, pushing back all of the previously existing objects into nothingness and it just got fucking lost like that all because I changed a BPM.

Now, a fair bit of the map was recoverable and the reason it was, was because I had uploaded some of the map the night before and I went out to work on my other map for a bit, and I came back and saw that the star rating went from 7.7* to 6* and obviously I was really weirded out and thought that my map was bugged, so without looking at the map because I'm fucking dumb as shit, I just reuploaded it and now I'm fucked.

Obviously remapping it is an option, but I'm just gonna have really shit motivation so can anybody please try and help me with recovering my map?

unless you have a back up i don't think the map is recoverable

What setting? And how do I check if I have a backup. I haven't closed the game since just in case

it's the "move already placed note when changing offset/bpm" setting

it WILL break your map if you do multiple bpm mapping

osu! doesn't make back up automatically sadly, tho if you've use the mapping tool app for your map you can check it's back up

Ah alr. Unfortunately I didn't. Guess I gotta remap it :p
Thanks for the suggestions

Edit: I just thought of this now. Are there some sort of "logs" or something that's saved to the website. Like previously updated maps? I can't explain it. Like before I fucked my map up, I uploaded it to Bancho. Do you think there's a way to go back and retrive the metadata or some shit?
lewski
if you updated the map after the accident it's gone, osu has no version history
