Cleared E-5, and then spent several hours fighting tooth and nail through E-6 Hard. Currently sitting a little over halfway through it, and it's been quite a rough ride. Gatekeepers are turning me away quite a bit D:

Good lord E1-E4 Hard has been so easy so far. I'm 2 kills away from clearing E4 and I have only been retreated once. For all 4 maps. Granted, FCF saved like 4 runs in E2 but still, this has been really easy.

E5 is when it starts getting a little bit annoying, but if you use the submarine strat, it makes the map much simpler since you can easily avoid one of the maelstorms on it. It's even better if you have Mogami and Mikuma, or Suzuya and Kumano in your fleet. Guarantees a route with two battles at most before the boss, and you can also choose path at one point to top it off. Conserving your fuel on that map is the key to passing it, because in worst case scenario, you won't have any left after passing through all the maelstorms and your evasion literally turns to shit when you finally get to boss.

E6 is very easy until final kill. You can use 1CA 2BB 2BBV 1CV / 2CLT 1CL 2DD 1FBB or something along those lines. Having 2BBV (Yamashiro and Fusou kai ni) and 1CV (Kaga stacked with Reppuu) gives you enough AS to go through preboss node without letting the enemy get AS against you, and it's enough for final kill to get AS. If you have the proper equipment, you can even gain AS on preboss with just one CV. It's a really simple map compared to final map in last event, it's just the final kill that is really annoying due to the added carrier that basically just acts as a tank, if she doesn't randomly oneshot your BBs, that is.

All in all, with a proper fleet, the last two maps will only cost you resources and hair on your head. Nothing that can't be completed or needs insane luck.

Hah, she is annoying this event as well, but not as bad as last event. I mean, at least there's aren't TWO carriers escorting her. Good luck to you and thanks lol. The struggle was real. I had at least 10 runs before the kill where boss was left with 40hp or so. One run where Ooi choked completely and only did 40 damage with a doubleattack in nightbattle when there was only 100hp left on boss. She made up for it in the end though, but all those lost resources because of her choke will be written upon her forehead forever.

Along with Mogami+Mikuma or Suzuya+Kumano, Choukai+Ryuujou also do the same thing; avoids the air battle node and goes to a fuel resource node instead. Ryuujou can get AS with 2 Reppuu 601 so air power isn't a problem, but she is significantly more flimsy than an actual CV. An additional benefit of using Choukai+Ryuujou means you can bring 3BB instead of 2, assuming the last slot is left for SS damecon tank. The fleet looks like CA/3BB/CVL/SS

contrary to what many has experience with the event.. i've been having quite a hard time from just E-3(pretty imbalanced fleet and i'm kinda trying to reserve my better ones for the next maps).. lost an unreasonable amount of buckets already...

E6 Hard has generally been smooth, feels like they took away CV Hime's aimbot; I get to the boss more often than not compared to Winter 15.

CAV/2BB/2BBV/CV + CL/CA/2CLT/2DD. Escort fleet has Ooyodo, Maya and Akizuki as fixed members. First fleet has enough fighters and seaplanes to get parity on pre-boss node, getting AS with only one CV is simply not possible unless you have Reppu Kai or use a third BBV with even more seaplanes.

F-G-I-M-O. The first and second battles are complete jokes. Don't let the BB Hime on the NB node fool you; her equipment is set-up to do Cut Ins but she has abysmal luck so she does normal attacks more often than not, and she completely sucks at them.

On last kill now but saving that for tomorrow. I don't think there will be a problem, just going to bring boss support and things should be peachy


Also, to maximize AACIs

Conclusion: Akizuki AACIs are inherently stronger than an average DD's AACI, but an average DD's AACI has priority in proccing so it's actually bad to use average DD AACIs. Maya AACIs are the strongest, and also have the highest proc priority.

tldr Conclusion: The best AACI combo is to only use Maya (Main Gun, AA Secondary, 25mmConc, Air Radar) + Akizuki (2x 10cmHAFD, Air Radar).

I was able to get very close to AS with two CVLs and I don't even have Junyou k2, so if you do have her along with Chitose/Chiyoda k2 you might be able to pull it off.

I should probably just pull back and level Maya to k2 before going after E6 again though, but can't do the same as you since I don't have Akizuki ;;

I try The Surface Task Force (4BB2CVL/1CL2DD2CLT1BB) in E6, It is way more stable than the carrier task force, but eats more too xD

Do you have a Maya K2? If yes then personally I went for 1 CV with 2 BBV and 1 CAV to boost air power. The best I can do is parity on preboss but Maya's AACI allows me to go past more often than not, and then I can get AS+ on boss (AS on final ver).

Otherwise, 2CVL isn't a bad idea to get AS against preboss, I know some people who chose to do that.

I read through it and I did the thing but I actually pressed the right one instead of the left one and my hibiki had 5 hp left

When it comes to Japanese, the positive option (yes, confirm, proceed, etc.) is almost always on the left, while the negative option (no, abort, give up, etc.) is almost always on the right.

In case you ever debate what to click in the future. Of course, watching a video or reading instructions just to be 100% sure is probably a lot better than relying on that flawed information.

Kongou class :< wish I could say how many resources I went through just for this last map but I did it in two parts. Has to be at least 15k fuel/ammo, if not more, and then the LSC busted me all the way to 4 digits.

The thing I did for E-5 was to equip damecon on the sub. It's just for safety purposes, but most of the time, the boss doesn't even hit the sub. Of all the times I went to the boss with a red hp sub, no damecon ended up getting used.
