There are many cheap alternatives, one being my favorite, is VEIKK S640 or even the VEIKK VK430, ranging at more or less of $20.
If you have some extra $10 though, I'd go for the Gaomon S620, which are overall better.

veikk vk430 is good enough
Definitely go for the xp-pen g640 (rev a). Make sure you go for REV A because it doesn't have hardware smoothing!
