I guess I'll sticky this thread, why not? It's been useful for many newbies and it's been referenced several times now.

Also, saw the old source and decided to do a few touch-ups on the banner:


I wonder, where did LuigiHann's banner go anyway?

Updated the banner, thanks. Also thanks for the sticky.

I have no idea where Luigi's banner went, I didn't touch it.

EDIT: I should probably clean up the first post so it isn't a gigantic incomprehensible mess. I'll do that tomorrow. I hope.

And... Pack 3 complete! No idea about the overall quality though, but meh. Someone upload it please, I may add the artist and song names later.

I did so for pack 1, though I did check some of these out. BRB, trying the rest to make sure I have no "OH MY GOD WHAT HAVE I DONE".

EDIT: Going through them, marking them if I played them or after I checked it. And I just had to delete a couple so far, may be more.

EDIT2: Done checking. I am ashamed at you all. Undone.

The first one doesn't have the criteria of a generous Hard. That criteria's there to have a smooth curve for a broader range of players . As for Yellow...

The Offspring - You're Gonna Go Far Kid has been ranked for a while but I think it might work. The easy is super easy (not even at 1 star) and the hard is not too hard. The only problem that you might have is that there is a 2x slider in the hard.

Iiii totally forgot about this project.
I guess most of my latest maps apply for this? Having a hard that rounds up to less than 4.5 stars and also an easy and a normal AND a cool insane or two~
Gonna suggest a few of my best.

Hard can be any star rating now if it's easy enough. Gonna be strict on quality though.

Oh yeah, I <3 that map.

Oh yeah, is it okay for me to add maps without asking the mapper first? 'Cuz if I can without people getting mad at me then I can make this go a lot faster.

@deadbeat: DLing that right now, I'll edit this post with my thoughts in a bit, though I'll probably end up adding it.

EDIT: No. Sorry, I can't add this.

The Easy is boring, uninteresting, and exactly the kind of Easy that I do not want too many of in this pack. The Hard is also a bit too hard and whacky for what I'm going for here, despite the low star rating.

Hmm... May i suggest my Mago de Oz maps?
All of them have 4 difficulties, Easy, Normal, Hard and Insane. Even one of the insanes has 4.5 Stars. lol

So any progress right now?

Oh yeah, all my pendling maps and http://osu.ppy.sh/s/18278 and http://osu.ppy.sh/s/18278 and the contest map I made for wind climbing (You denied the two ranked ones to be in the last though for some reason...) fits somewhat nicely to the criteria and from what I understand it's my four best maps I've made.

I can remake the easy of Keep Tryin' for this pack though because quite honestly, I think it is a bit mediocre for an easy and I know I can do a lot better. Anyway, if ever interested, give me a PM :) and I'll do it!

Actually, I do want to revive it. I do need a better process for this, though. Hmm... Ah, I have an idea! If I turned this into a nomination-voting process then I could get this done much, much easier. I'll see about doing that tomorrow.

EDIT: Either that or I need to find someone else to take over. I'll also see if I can do that tomorrow. One or the other should work.

-Yes, there's a Bad Apple!! remix map in here.This is because it's a Bad Apple!! map that doesn't make me want to shoot myself.
-DxS recommended the vast majority of these songs. This is because I asked him to. However, I still tested everything but the Larto map.
-cat's dance is in there just because A) the song's amazing and B) That BG <3

Yes, it's a new pack based upon the "complete newbie to a few weeks of playing" target of the last three packs. No, you aren't dreaming.

Felt the need to do a new pack because there hasn't been a new one for a looooooong time. Plus, I think this might actually be the best pack yet by far. *shrugs*
