I guess I'll sticky this thread, why not? It's been useful for many newbies and it's been referenced several times now.
Also, saw the old source and decided to do a few touch-ups on the banner:

I have no idea where Luigi's banner went, I didn't touch it.
EDIT: I should probably clean up the first post so it isn't a gigantic incomprehensible mess. I'll do that tomorrow. I hope.

...you mean you don't actually try the maps for quality control?

I did so for pack 1, though I did check some of these out. BRB, trying the rest to make sure I have no "OH MY GOD WHAT HAVE I DONE".MetalMario201 wrote:

EDIT: Going through them, marking them if I played them or after I checked it. And I just had to delete a couple so far, may be more.

The first one doesn't have the criteria of a generous Hard. That criteria's there to have a smooth curve for a broader range of players . As for Yellow...

The Offspring - You're Gonna Go Far Kid has been ranked for a while but I think it might work. The easy is super easy (not even at 1 star) and the hard is not too hard. The only problem that you might have is that there is a 2x slider in the hard.

Iiii totally forgot about this project.
I guess most of my latest maps apply for this? Having a hard that rounds up to less than 4.5 stars and also an easy and a normal AND a cool insane or two~
Gonna suggest a few of my best.

The Easy is boring, uninteresting, and exactly the kind of Easy that I do not want too many of in this pack. The Hard is also a bit too hard and whacky for what I'm going for here, despite the low star rating.
Hmm... May i suggest my Mago de Oz maps?
All of them have 4 difficulties, Easy, Normal, Hard and Insane. Even one of the insanes has 4.5 Stars. lol

Oh yeah, all my pendling maps and http://osu.ppy.sh/s/18278 and http://osu.ppy.sh/s/18278 and the contest map I made for wind climbing (You denied the two ranked ones to be in the last though for some reason...) fits somewhat nicely to the criteria and from what I understand it's my four best maps I've made.
