Something in the settings to allow this. Example:

Default colours are Red, Blue, Green and Orange. I wish to change this to Cyan, Pink, and two colours in between.

I usually dim the background 40-80%, as I do like having the image there, just not as bright. Maps with blended notes tend to be harder to see when a dimmed background. The ability to change default colours would be pretty snazzy.

you can change default combo colours in the skin.ini :/

Example of this is:
[Colours]
Combo1: 255,150,0
Combo2: 5,240,5
Combo3: 5,5,240
Combo4: 240,5,5
If I recall correctly, you can use up to 8 different colors.
You can read more about the skin.ini at: Skinning tutorial (+ skinning support)

Unless the OP is asking for the ability to ignore only the beatmap skin colour, while leaving the rest of the beatmap skin intact. That'll be a nice to have...

Yeah, it might be a good idea. Not to mention my default colours of my skin was the default colors itself. >.<
Well that's the only workaround. I guess

I'd like to see skin/combo colors split up into different options as well. Sometimes I just want to disable one or the other, not both :/
