slight issue when using osu on a network

I am having an issue when using osu on a network. I was going to post this in technical support but that appears to be just for bug reports. This may be a bug but I'm not sure as I may be doing something wrong or missed something obvious.

Basically I am running the computer society in my college. I have 10pc's running on a lan with each user having his or her own individual login. And osu is installed into the default directory of programme files.

As osu is fully portable I assumed that it would run fine but for some reason as soon as you go to run the game as a normal user it tries to load all the beetmaps and never gets passed the beetmap loading screen. Is there anyway to load in the beetmaps for normal user's. As it is I drag the game onto the desktop but that doesn't work in the long run as we have 50 users so far and our osu is a 9G+file on these pc's.

Any suggestions and is the answer looking me in the face?
I am writing this on the phone so sorry for spelling and grammar mistakes. ^.^

Get osu! on a personalized directory, perhaps a thumbdrive or something of the sort. osu! on a network doesn't really settle well since the filesystem is made for one computer to access it at any point in time (don't quote me on that). Your config files are also written to the network directory, which saves your login/password/key config (md5hash for pw) all on the same directory.

FWIW/tldr: install osu! on each computer individually or just use a thumbdrive.

Sorry I did not make myself very clear. Its installed individually on each pc, in the program files directory. But as soon as a normal user goes to use it they can't get passed the beetmap loading screen. I cant go and get 10usb's as they will just dissappear into peoples pockets I doubt that they would last a month.

Is there an error of any sort in Beatmap Select?

Technical Support
The place to go when you have a problem or a bug to report!
Regarding the problem, looks like its about the database. I guess it would be better to let osu! rebuild it.
Before you start osu!, drag the file osu!.db out of the osu! folder and let it rebuild.

C:\Program Files is a special directory and a lot of things needs to be run with admin privilege. Move the whole folder out of there if you have access to other local drives; if not, USB thumb drive is probably the most convenient solution as dkun already pointed out.

Admin privilege's never even occurred to me as it gave no login prompt. Thanks sorted it and sorry for doing such a silly mistake.

If people are suffering from the same issue as me and cba to read what happened move your game file from

C:\Program Files (x86) or C:\Program Files

into the C:\ directory and it should work fine for you and all users should still have access to it.
