I'd like to see osu!direct have a download timer and not just the percentage bar that it currently has because everyone uses time to tell the host how much longer they have to wait to start the match and using osu!direct we can't do that since it only shows the percent downloaded.

Timers usually slow the downloads down, and seriously, are they ever really accurate? And it usually goes so fast that it doesn't matter. I guess the feature wouldn't be to bad, but I'd rather just have the fastest dl speed instead of having it calculate time left.

no they don't, they're simply estimations from the amount of data left needed to be downloaded divided by its current download speed, estimations don't need to be accurate too and it would certainly be more accurate than a simple 63.35%.

i'd also propose that the timer be announced publicly if inside the multi room, or at least the % number (this feature could be like the 1 in warcraft series, in the multiplayer rooms you can see the % downloaded next to the players name)
