Computer slowdown + crash after some songs

after playing about 6 songs the osu! window turns black and my whole computer works really slow.
When i quit (through task manager) osu! it comes back to normal.

What should i do?

I have this same problem. I just stick to task manager.

Help for this would be appreciated, but its probably just a bug which has yet to be worked out.

I think it only happens when i beat my last high score...

I just experienced the same problem twice today. I couldn't even open task manager and had to do a hard reset.
I've encountered some long loading times previously, but those managed to fix themselves through time. The last two I've encountered didn't get better after 10 minutes.

The two times it occurred to me was after beating my old score with Driving Myself (although I beat my old score afterwards and it updated alright) and another for Hare Hare (though I'm not sure if I did beat any scores with it)

I tried to replicate this last night but couldn't for the life of me.

Could those of you that are getting this answer the following questions (or as many as you can)

* Does it happen when you alt-tab during a game transition? (This is a known bug)
* Does it happen consistantly on specific songs?
* Is there a gradual slowdown before it freezes fully?
* When does the freeze occur?

Mmm, IIRC, I was shuffling between a few windows (messenger) but I didn't minimize Osu!

So far, it's happened quite a few on Driving Myself.

* Is there a gradual slowdown before it freezes fully?
Nope. After the song, I would press back to menu and then it just stays black. It seems to grab most or all of my processing power since everything starts to stop by then. I can't even bring my task manager up to force close Osu!

* When does the freeze occur?
Mostly after a song, when returning to menu. I've had it happen once when I just moused over a song though, but that was after spamming spectate on a friend so that must be it (song is Driving Myself again, xD)

Hopefully I've nailed this one in the latest test release. Contact me if you'd like to help out by testing it :) IRC probably works best.

Hope so Peppy, I just experienced it again. This time it was on Eiji's From the Depths of Time; pre-score screen.

I'd be willing to test the test client if you need more people. I'll talk to you asap.

This SHOULD be fixed with the latest version. Please reply if anyone is still having 100% cpu freeze glitches.
