I started playing with 98% dim so I can see the bg picture, I think it also looks nice with hidden.

When I joined osu! you were forced to play with background and the default was 30% dim, so that's what I use.

The new default is 80% dim, which is unfortunate since I assume most new players will never use 30% dim.

same, I get by the 100% dim because I get a small glimpse of the background anyways at song select and right before the song starts. used to keep it at 90-95% and before that it used to be much less cause I enjoyed seeing the background and videoplay. now, I've switched entirely because a friend made me play a map with spiders in the background and it has gave me the push to go 100% since LMAO. I'm scared of bugs, especially spiders. got no regrets tho

30 feels like the background is now the foreground and the game is in the background.

i play with 100% dim

100% dim because I want to enjoy the gameplay. Only exception would be for maps with a cool storyboard.

I think my dim is at like 60%? Enough to see the backgrounds but not be too distracting
