how to upload a beatmap that is an edited version of someone else's beatmap

So, I just wanted to play a song I liked in osu! mania 4k but there isn't any of it so I just charted it myself. I used a 7k beatmap set in which had the song I wanted. I created a new difficulty of that one song so I wouldn't need to set the bpm. Now that I have finished the beatmap, I wanted to share it to my friends ,but osu! won't allow me because it's molded from a different chart. Is there a way that I can post it anyways? I don't want it to be loved or anything, I just want to let my friends play it.

replace the beatmap creator's name to yours and you can upload it

tho you shouldn't do it without the og mapper's permission since it maybe punishable

Lasse's guide takes longer but should always work. I had to follow this guide when submitting one of my old sets that got auto-deleted since graveyard sets used to be purged for inactivity.

i already did that, but i don't think he'll care since it's my own chart start to finish except the timing
