When playing a bunch of unranked/WiP maps, what scoreboard are you most likely to look at? The local scoreboard, checking your old scores or scores by friends you added to your list. If you do that you don't even realize when there's an update and are surprised when spectators have a different version than you, forcing you to go back to song selection and forcing an update. This is just annoying, and from a player's point of view it's a few unnecessary clicks.
I believe when having selected the local scores osu! doesn't automatically request a check for the beatmap status or something, but for convenience reasons, could you change that? Just add a button below or above the local scoreboard which appears whenever there's a beatmap update available?
