osu! As an Anime?

Hear me out, osu as an Anime.

I feel like the setup we have with osu has huge potential to become the source of a fairly light hearted and entertaining series.

Multiple ideas have crossed me in the past but I haven't really written them down. I originally had the idea of osu being an action orineted story where the main character rises the ranks and defeats the most skilled players like whitecat and cookizie and rafis and insert other top player with a 1k pp play!

Yeah kinda cringe ngl

My latest idea would be a simple slice of life type ordeal where our main character, Pippi joins a group consisting of the mascots. And together they have fun creating music and beatmaps for osu players to enjoy.

Maybe a funny chapter would go like... one of the mascots try to make an impossible map and it gets fc'd by mrekk or someone else. So they keep making harder and harder maps accompanied with more and more technical music courtesy of the reluctant production team.

What about you guys? Have you ever thought of a storyline that happens in the "osu universe" ?

Just has a lil idea like where every player logs in to osu they have like this avatar on themselves in the screen with the mascots of the mode they're playing and they are there to guide them kinda.

Sounds cool but it would also be cool if osu! distanced itself a lil from anime cuz like 70 % of the maps are anime openings n stuff and it would have a much larger playerbase if it wasnt like that

It's funny because when I was #80k, I imagined an osu! Anime with a crazy scenario in my head LOL

Like, the story tells the life of a new osu player who will join a island called "osu!land" with others islands where they can fight entities which are the beatmaps. the difficulty of the entities depends on the star rating. Killing maps is equivalent to FC the map and therefore gaining performance points. Difficulty can also be increased or decreased if you put mods before visiting the islands to gain more ranks. The most dangerous entities with a very high star rating can only be defeated by top players who have spent years on the island like Cookiezi, WhiteCat, Vaxei, Rafis, mrekk,...

The new osu player will be able to talk to others new or old players and meet people who will help him to be a professional killer. He will have many adventures with friends visiting the islands, fighting the monsters, and will even be able to fight his opponents with multi which do not give ranks but moneys to buy goodies. Btw the entities are made by mappers who send their creations to EN's (Entity Nominators) to send the beatmap to the islands. The ultimate goal for the new osu player: kill the hardest map possible and become the strongest osu player.

Btw they find themselves voluntarily in an island with many areas that mean skillsets. (There may be others idk it's been a long time) (727 is not a skillset bruh) :



Now in 2022 I just think it's kinda exaggerated ngl

That's a real long winded story you got there xdddd but I can see it in my head and it's actually kinda cool

I do like the kind of progressive nature that it has and each island being a skill set? that's pretty creative, props to you my guy

osu! mapping's world would make a great anime lol, there's drama every other day in that part of the community, would make a great comedy/drama show

the more i think about in my head the more it seems like a fun idea though hopefully there will be no osu anime as i know full ass well theres gonna be a 727 joke in there

I dont think so. its very weird to see an anime character showing their progress on a computer scene not a bad idea but not sure how you can excuete it
