A long time ago.. there was a thread...
Anticipating this game

I bring you the maimai thread!

I've played maimai for 10 days now.......

I'm pretty sure that there are much much more maimai players out there!

I had a lot of fun today with maimai....
Even tho it absorbs all my tokens...
I just cant stop playing it....

Its a magical washing machine with a TV in it

I unlocked a limited icon today
S-ed 4 Ex songs
Cleared a Ma song and 2 other lv10 songs

My rating went gfrom 5.48 to 7.20 in 1 day....
Im so happy ^^

Oh yeah I saw Maimai for the first time in a video showing some arcades in Club Sega. Looks interesting, I'd like to try but I wonder if gameplay is not too boring in the long term?

Also the person is playing with a really low speed

Huh, I wonder if ZUN knows that the game is using derivative works from his game series. As I recall, "Touhou" songs had to be removed from osu! Stream because it conflicted with ZUN's terms of use regarding commercialization of derivative works.

It probly doesnt have anything to do with ZUN...
Because all the touhou songs on maimai are the fan-made releases of the music.....

The game has constant updates evrey 2~3 weeks... new songs..
And the rating system and limited unlockable icons can keep you hooked on like god knows what ^^

Actually.. we list out our queuing ettiquette in our website for malaysian maimai
People who hog and stuff like that will be told off

So far ive been playing it..... People over here take turns fairly ^^
Skill level doesnt matter

Maybe its just your bad luck @.@

From what I can remember, queuing doesn't exist except when the regular players on a certain place is there. Good thing in Timezone (game center) there's a credit limit of 1-3 credits per person in games like technika

What maimai is supposed to look like...


Fyi Garakuta is the 2nd hardest song in the game so far...

System "Z" Master < this is the hardest song in the game
Since this song just came out today... there isnt any video of it in youtube... yet

What it looks like when someone plays...

The video is bad since its uploaded in youtube...
Pro videos are all in nicovideo...

I got 86% on the level 12 myself today...
2 plays on that song
Maimai just introduced level 12 today...

I know this comment is old, but so were the songs in osu! Stream. They were done by Amane, if I recall correctly. It didn't make any difference.

Well... SEGA must have gotten the license to do so...
Highly unlikely that it will go unnoticed aince its so popular in Japan

That's odd because last time I checked, ZUN doesn't mind having his songs used by fans. In fact, he encourages it.

Not in commercial titles, he doesn't, but eh..

Last I checked, he allowed sale of derivative works only through channels he himself works through (Doujinshi conventions, Mail Order, etc)
I'm merely remarking that it's weird he'd allow SEGA to do this but not even communicate with peppy to try and work something out. o/
