I found a background for a map that I made. I reverse image searched the image on google and tineye. I was not able to find any copyright notices for this image, so can I use it for my map?

when it comes to trying to follow copyright, assume you arent supposed to use it unless you can find something saying its ok to use for your purpose.

many mappers don't worry about it very much though and use whatever anyway
