The NEW YORK STATE SHOWDOWN is an annual tournament featuring New York's top players!

TOURNEY DISCORD | SPREADSHEET | BRACKET | REGISTRATION

All players must be current residents of New York to participate. Players will need to verify their identity in the New York osu! Commmunity Discord to successfully register.

This is an osu!standard 1v1 (Score v2) tournament.
There is no rank restriction for registration.
Double-elimination bracket made up of 32 players seeded by their overall qualifier performance. The Grand Finals will have a bracket reset if the player from the lower bracket wins the first match.
All times will be listed in Eastern Standard Time (UTC-4).
Roll winner decides pick or ban order, roll loser decides pick order if ban order was decided or ban order if pick order was decided.

Matches will be scheduled for the weekends. Reschedules must be complete at least 24 hours in advance from the scheduled time and before Friday 12:00 PM EST.
Schedules and mappools will be released before Monday.
The match will begin once both players are in the lobby.
If a player does not join within 10 minutes of the scheduled time, their opponent will receive a win by default. If both players do not join within 10 minutes of the scheduled time, both players will forfeit.
There will be no warmup picks.
Both players will roll in the beginning of the match. The player that wins the roll will decide who will pick or ban first. The player that loses the roll will decide who will pick first if ban order was decided and will decidide who will ban first if pick order was decided.
Players have 90 seconds to decide their bans and picks. Maps will be played after 60 seconds or once both players are ready.
A map will be replayed if scores are tied.
Players may choose to use mods on the tiebreaker pick.
In the event of a disconnection or technical issue, the referee will restart the map. This must happen within 30 seconds of the map starting according to IRC logs.
Common sense will apply in all situations. Referees are allowed to take disciplinary action at their own discretion.
Players are expected to display good behavior.
