im having trouble getting better, every time I do like a tryhard session I only improve slightly
i can currently do maybe 3.7 to 4.3 stars, but anything beyond that my fingers just die for 30 minutes and it really hurts

i've also experimented with scroll speeds and skins and i have found one that suits me but even so i still cant get past the 3-4 star scale

Scroll speeds and skins do nothing about your fingers, if your fingers start to hurt faster than usual, try to give them some rest, push yourself too hard is not good.

You can't do harder maps instantly. If you improve slightly, it stays improvement, and you must be proud of that !
