D:< I can't find anything in beatmaps lately, 'cuz most of the songs I'm looking for have names with under 4 characters! D:. How can I look for stuff from ani, xi and ice if all three names are below 4 characters, and I don't want to start looking through each song individually to SEE if I get a match... :/. It's mostly a rant though, anyone have any ideas where I might get something like a list or something of the sort for songs by artists with under 4 characters, 'cuz I can't really believe no-one's had this issue before and wanted a solution :/. Thanks beforehand. And sorry if someone somewhere solved this but I really don't know where to place this, and all this ranting certainly isn't needed in support forums :/.

there's no solution, AFAIK (not sure if osu!Direct works with any lengths)

uh. try searching a database of over 100k maps with less than 4 characters.
try searching any database with less than 4 characaters. it's not just osu! that uses the 4-char rule.

Why not go make a feature request?
Since now the client supports search specifications like AR=9 etc, why not ask peppy if it's possible to expand that ability to the web search so it can support targets under 4 characters lead by a parameter? eg Artist=U

How about letting you put the search in quotes? Like "ani" or "xi" so it only searches for ani/xi as whole words

I forgot to mention in my previous post that Bloodcat supports <4 character to some extend. Use that as an alternative for time being I guess.

Quite interesting, let's face it. Though maybe suggesting a feature for looking exact matches for words within quotes might be the solution. Or linking all artist entries into a single group maybe? So when searching through artists it finds only those that match the same artist. Who knows? I personally would have to ask someone who understands database programming before even considering a suggestion. I don't want to just pop in and request something without having the slightest idea of what to suggest as a possible way of implementation.
