does anyone play this series LOL its like my fave of all time

Like a lot of people, I'm still grinding through Fire Emblem: The Awakening  i swear to god
only the hubber tester grants my bl fantasies

The older games were just as sweet imo. FE6 is definitely one of my faves hngngng
Radiant dawn was getting kinda complicated but oh well
I find shipping people the most fun part about these games, what about you guys? Who's your fave character(s) and stuff
im trying not to turn this into a fujoshi rant
klein is so hot

and apparently there's a new game for the Wii U that combines Shin Megami Tensei & Fire Emblem http://www.gamefaqs.com/wii-u/701254-sh ... ire-emblem
holy shit? lololomg
meiikyuu
fe boys hn

all the games are good.

that reminds me, i still need to finish awakening ;___;
i've only really played blazing sword, sacred stones and awakening.
i use thiefs and mages too much though i think....

IT HAS BEGUN

I've been a huge fan of the Fire Emblem series for a while. I used to be really active on SerenesForest before spending my time on here.

OPINONS

FE6: Gonzales + Geese are OP.
FE7: Hector is OP
FE8: Tower of Valni is OP
FE9: Nephenee is OP
FE10: Literally everyone is OP
FE11: Wolf + Sedgar is OP
FE12: Donnel is unbelievably OP. I literally got so mad at the game while playing it that I had Donnel solo the last half of the game while carrying Chrom. I won.

Don't really keep track of which is which...

Never played the console ones, but the ones for GBA and Awakening were really done well.
Can't say I cared for Shadow Dragon all that much...
I think Awakening was my favourite of the four. So much to do and experiment with. Just needed an extra end dungeon like Sacred Stones did. xD
deadbeat
yeah, i skipped shadow dragon, but i haven't heard that much about it, and most of what i did hear wasn't all that great :<

It was medicore at best.
The thing is, I like the whole world map thing, which is why I loved Sacred Stones and Awakening so much. If you wanna make it more of a challenge, skill all the optional fights. If you like to grind experience, fight more.
Shadow Dragon had a neat class system in which you could make any character any class, but the Awakening came out with a better class/re-class system that easily beat it.
Triskelion91
I think I've played most of the NA releases. Haven't played the ones that were on consoles.

I actually haven't beaten Awakening because someone always dies on the last mission, and I gave up. :v
Soaprman
I've only played the three GBA ones and Awakening. A+++ games, the lot of them. I touched one of the Gamecube ones but not enough to have an opinion on it.

I've never played Shadow Dragon, but I've seen pics of it, and man, how the hell can anyone think it's a good idea to still use 2D sprites but not go with the awesome sprite work from the GBA games? Someone really screwed the pooch with that decision.
Tenshi
FE6 and Sacred Stones. ♥

The thing that got me about shadow dragon was the whole "KILL YOUR TEAM TO UNLOCK SPECIAL CHAPTERS"

Gordon was not very happy about that part.
Yasen Baka
I've only tried Fire Emblem Path of Radiance and Radiant Dawn. Fun games.

That's why I liked the casual mode. It's against usual Fire Emblem gameplay, but I don't like restarting missions. >_>

Did that really happen? Geez...

Radiant Dawn wasn't rated particularly high - for being ridiculously hard, boring story and lacking visuals.
I've heard good things about Path of Radiance though.

Yeah, back then I always coliseum farmed, so dieing was pretty easy to avoid. You can't do that now in Awakening. :p

You can still get that one DLC map and farm levels :P

Yeah, but I don't have that much time! :p

It would be halarious if I turned my whole team into dread fighters
Imagine them running around

i'd love to have a whole team of sage's, berserker's and assassin's. with a healer or 2. that would be very fun

Then the reviews suck at the game I guess. xD

CDFA wrote:

If you wanna farm levels, just fight the monsters on the map, lol. Don't need the DLC for that.

Hilarious. =)

Berserkers were like... the only class that I never had, just because I never remembered. xD
I personally liked the Swordmasters and Assassins (as well). I've always liked the sword classes... not sure why.

I guess if they were just reviewing it without really knowing much about the game, then yeah, it'd be super hard :P. But if you know who to use and abuse Nolan and Edward so OP in the beginning <3 and you can trek to part 4, everything is good

ALSO SAVE ALL OF YOUR BONUS EXP AND USE IT ALL ON FIONA TO MAKE HER THE BEST PALADIN

My biggest issue with Radiant Dawn was that I bought one of the earlier copies that had the transfer data bug, and the incorrect Muarim details.

and it got to the point to where it'd break at various points (I have a file broken at the beginning of Part 4, and another file broken at the very last cutscene)

so I literally cannot play it.

Oh, that's funny. And terrible at the same time. Good job Nintendo...

Nobody here has played Gaiden? u.u

I really like Sacred Stones... just because getting uber max stat characters was so easy in that game.

Sacred Stones was my favourite until I played Awakening. So much to do, never run out of gold, and training people was easy.

Yeah Awakening is pretty fun, 'specially cause you can change classes 5-ever.

But to be completely honest the bridal class was what really drew me in :)

Oh yeah, for sure. And there's merit to changing classes too (aside just grinding in stat points) with the skill system. I loved it.
I actually wasn't a huge fan of it, which is surprising because I love figuring out how numbers (stats in this case) would carry over.

The only thing it needed was a final dungeon, similar to the one in Sacred Stones.

Can anyone offer me advice on clearing Apotheosis on Lunatic+ ?

Sacred stones is the best ever, I played through that game about 7 times. Lyn <3.

isn't Ekira the main female protagonist from Scared Stones. Lyn was from the game before Scared Stones

Yep.
Justykanna
Yeah, Lyn was in the other Fire Emblem that I have no idea what's name is.
She and Hector was unkillable for me as soon as she upgraded to the Great Lord.

i *think* it was called blazing sword. but not 100% sure about that

No, that's the game with Roy, the one with Lyn, Hector and Eliwood is FE7, or that one without a sub-heading.

Also, Hector makes me so happy. Like, so goddamn happy. LIKE, REALLY GODDAMN HAP-

Why don't they just keep the titles consistent? Grrr...

Remember Legend of Zelda? Good god that was a nightmare. But yeah, so many people think that Sacred Stones is FE7 and that FE6 never even existed.

i heard some rumor that nintendo collab with atlus and make fire emblem x shin megami tensei
is that true?

Well yeah, but why didn't they just keep the same titles for the Japanese releases when they move em over? A game having more than one known title in the world is dumb and confusing...

I heard that rumor too but never really looked into it.
Unfortunately, I was never a fan of the Shin Megami Tensei stuff at all. =/

Edit: There's a few articles online about it. WiiU game apparently, not set date of release yet though.

i wasn't a fan of shin megami tensei too, i've only watch the video someone playing shin megami tensei
although i only looked at the fire emblem
Justykanna
I'm not sure I'd be interested in the game, even if I had a WiiU.

Roy is from Sword of Seals. In USA, Rekka no Ken, or Blazing Sword, had no subtitle.

did you ever have issues with tharja or henry?

You'd think after a few playtroughs (and lots of people dieing) you'd get used to the characters dieing but no, i still die a little on the inside whenever it happens.

that doesn't really answer my question :<
i find their stat's aren't that great. they never seem to be able to double attack. miss a lot more often than other mages and damage seems to be to lower as well :/

Ton of Fire Emblem news :)

Spoilers~
More info on the new Fire Emblem for 3DS about the player's avatar being the main character this time, and you get to choose between "Bloodlines or Loyalty"

The peace-loving "Hoshido" or The glory-seeking "Nohr"

I wonder how far into the game it will branch off.

And some info finally on Shin Megami Tensei X Fire Emblem in the form of a musical trailer. Seems it'll be a turn-based rpg instead of a tactical one.

♫Kiria - Reincarnation
I could be wrong, but she kinda sounds like Nanjou Yoshino...

So what you guys think? I'm definitely still stoked for the FE 3DS and I'm interested to see what they will do (or ruin?) with SMT#FE

It's also a difficult choice as to which imouto is best imouto though, I'll probably do Hoshido before I go with the Nohr.
Predicting now that Hoshido and Nohr get 3 chapters each before the split so you can get a feel for both sides before making a decision.

As for SMTxFE, the trailer made me really conflicted but at least the Wii U has some form of a Persona game.
