I'm pretty sure it doesn't take a master mapper to tell that this slider design is horrible.

However, the thing is, I'm not sure what I did wrong with it, or how I can improve on it.

Can I have some advice on it?

Seems pretty normal to me?

It probably depends what your aesthetic is for mapping so its kinda hard to answer. You might like it better if its curved slightly less and on a 5 - 10 degree angle instead of whatever that angle is. Maybe just angle it differently as is? Maybe try some different shapes if thats what you're meaning? This site has a lot of neat ones (scroll down to the more normal ones lol: https://photos.google.com/share/AF1QipM-5gNgHPHcVQomyu8xFlHw25h4KoQptjBkGg6WV8wtJtdvhXP2eTYcSlJbNLXziQ?pli=1&key=N1FWWk81ZFpBdGVwajZIS3A0cHB0ZUxDZWpFT2Vn

yeah it's pretty normal as well, however depending on the concept you're in it'll be either good or unfitting.

The best judge is you and only you after all.

I would use this only if it exists an identity/gimmick around it (or if i russian map xd)

ooooorrrr...

maybe u want to fix the curve? if so, just delete the grey anchor and place it again

I think the problem with it for me is that it looks really unpolished. Like, I might sound stupid saying this but whenever I look at a ranked map the sliders look really polished

that's not true.

This whole set was built entirely by the slider you mentioned, yet there isn't seems to be anything unpolished there? Not to mention it creates a really unique vibe to the song that I don't think "tech" map alone would even close to replicating it.

What matters the most is how you handle/execute the concept, not the concept itself. You can have something as mundane as overlapping every objects yet you can make one of the best maps to ever created. Anything is viable.
