Tablet lift height

I own a Wacom Bamboo Cth 470/K for a few months now and it seems the lift height is constantly decreasing.
I could lift my Pen 2 or 3 cm at the start and it would still register, now it's down to 1cm.
Have you experienced similar problems?
Why could this happen? Any solutions?

aka i don't know why this is happening. How long have you had your tablet anyways?

there is some sensor in the pen that the tablet should detect when it's close, so basically my only guess would be your sensor thing inside the pen is getting worn down somehow.

K, I'll look where to buy a new pen.
How high can you guys lift the pen for it to register?
Probably I'm just imagining this problem, but I don't really think so...
