Problem details: I optimized my osu, fiddled around with NVIDIA's control panel settings and placing the graphics settings for osu to power saving. I updated my Windows 10 and now my NVIDIA settings reset, undoing all the things I did to it. I used to play on vsync after I optimized it, and now I have to flip-flop between optimal and power saving. I've done everything: running the game as administrator, compatibility mode, changing the graphics settings on Windows 10 itself, trying to replicate what I remember my settings being, even setting a custom fps in my config.

Here are my specs if that helps.
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 950
CPU: AMD A6-6400K APU with Radeon(tm) HD Graphics
Memory: 12 GB RAM (11.96 GB RAM usable)
Resolution: 1600 x 900, 60Hz

I'm not sure you should be using those frame limiters, try sticking to optimal or unlimited, powersaving will give you worse performance. Have a look through this guide if you havent already: wiki/en/Performance_Troubleshooting and try everything there. Especially make sure to try closing all other applications, and monitor task manager while playing.

If still nothing works and task manager looks normal, do you think you could get a screenshot of the stutters with the frame times graph open? This guide: wiki/en/Help_Centre#frame-time-graph shows you how to do that and how to get the screenshot.

Also, is this a laptop or a desktop PC that you're using?

I'm running on a desktop, had it upgraded a few months back. Oddly enough, osu ran just fine back then when I didn't have a gpu.

Task Manager is running fine, the only difference made to my cpu would be that I activated all the cores after only using 1 the whole time before the windows update.

My gpu seems to be being underutilized however

Here's some screenshots from when the lag spikes did happen

That looks like a whole lotta fuckage.

Best way to remove potential causes of stutters and performance issues is to close other programs. Which you have quite a few and your CPU is being hammered. Close Discord, steam, everything and make sure your CPU isn't being used up by some Windows process. Does the game still run like poopy doodie then?

I'm also seeing sleep spikes in your graph, which means osu! believes it doesn't need to draw frames anymore. Either because frame limiter/power settings, or it doesn't believe it's focused.

Closed all programs, CPU usage was fluctuating at around 10-20 percent. Had nothing running but osu. Closed Steam, Discord, Opera GX. And it seems to run fine. Haven't had a lag spike in my 1 hour of playing, my frames are consistent and my latency is fixed to a certain number.

Thanks for the help.
