good mindset, talent, and enjoyment. Or at the very least that's what I did and it worked for me so...

I have a decent mindset and I enjoy game but ur 10k and im 135k and we have the same hours and u have like 10k less playcount than me? Like how does that make any sense? I really don't want to think that the answer is just that you're better, there has to be more to it surely.

Everyone improves/progresses at their own rate. Also lots of people just play more consistently/grind harder than you do. Look at other peoples play history graphs compared to yours. People that are improving faster probably put more plays in per month than you do. Most top players are hitting well over 2k plays per month at the very least.

But this is a very individual thing and you shouldn't compare yourself to others.

I don't think it helps that I had to learn about you in history class. Also, I personally think talent is a big part of the game. Being in optimal conditions (have enough water, food, sleep, etc.) also helps, but I think that honestly some people are just built for clicking circles. Also practicing the right things, practicing a variety and pushing one skillset at a time is a good strategy I find.

I don't think this really answers my question. I play enough, I know I do. The people who are 5 digit with less hours than me usually have less plays per month than me. Also literally every top 10 player I know of has taken months or even years off and come back even better. With all of that in mind I don't think that they play more consistently is a valid argument as it seems they actually play less consistently. Also not comparing yourself to others is literally impossible when there's a humongous number right with your name that says what rank you are at all times. I want to know what they are doing differently if anything.

Which is why I said talent lol. If I improved faster than you and we pretty much do the same thing then that means I'm just more talented, that or im more affected by adaptive neuroplasticity (ie. im younger and I build muscle memory and skill faster than you)
MrSparklepants
I have no room to speak when it comes to improving fast, as I'm still 5 digit with 1,380 hours and 76,620 playcount. However, as much as it pains me to say it, talent may play some role in how fast a player improves. It also may be that they're pushing themself a lot harder than you are, or maybe they just know how to play the game in a "more effective way". Or simply their playstyle is just worth more PP than your playstyle. Or simply they find the skillset they're best at and just grind it for rank.

My advice is just don't care about it, everyone improves at a different rate and everyone plays the game differently. As long as you're playing you are going to improve.

Thats what ive been thinking. It seems that younger people improve exponentially faster, like mrekk was like 12 when he started lmao. Kinda reminds me of chess where if you dont start as a child you will never be a top player(obv not the same but you get the point)

I believe it comes mostly down to playing smart instead of just playing more.

ye probably but only the things to do to improve like what maps to play, what to change, mindset, etc. and nothing groundbreaking since it would still take hard work, i mean we were all newbies in the game in the past as well after all (edit: i for example didn't know how to burst in the past but after watching a yt video, now i am practicing streams and 200bpm bursts are ez). Also i don't really believe everything on the site is real since players play offline anyway so a 120hr profile could be a 4 digit but in reality has been playing for 10x that amount so comparing yourself to others wouldn't really make much sense imo.

just enjoy the game i'd say and you'd improve without noticing it.

Have fun. Practice all your skills. Dont farm. Thats what every top player says atleast. Also people dont improve at the same rate.

Just less talented
Though it can be covered by working hard

Every player in top 100 improved faster than other player

The top players are usually young as well and they have more time to play compared to older people, usually.

Talent, genetics, a lot of free time, and a good mindset. Unfortunately just having the latter 2 things isn't gonna make you the next osu prodigy.

Even if the average joe at a young age did the same things Mozart or Babe Ruth did as they grew up doesn't mean any of them can become the next musical or baseball legend, anyone that thinks so is on pure copium. Although you can still get to a good point with a lot of effort but you'll get walled by your natural talents eventually.

Also your mindset, especially at a young age, can depend a lot on your upbringing. If you were born to a good family that raised you well then you'll likely have a much better mindset. And also if your family isn't poor or very strict and can get you a nice setup to play on.

Simply put, you should have rerolled genetics for optimal stats before starting the life game with your current build.
