I tried to find anything related, I hope this isn't a duplicate.

Basically, I want separerated volume for effects because right now if I change to 0 it will mute the sounds in the main menu too. But I just only want to mute hitsounds. Maybe separate bar for editor too. I'm trying to improve my feel of rhythm with not hitsounds at all and playing with Hidden, but its anoying to use the menu w/o sounds.

I know this will be not the top priority, but I don't care as long as gets added.

Oh yes, I though this maybe solved with empty wavs in the skin folder, but it will be annoying to remove/add them back sometimes.

I don't see a problem with skinning them out - just make a copy of your skin, and make one skin with hitsounds, and one without. I don't think this needs to be added, if it can be achieved by skinning.

Still, it will be much more easier to change the volume. And how about if someone want it at 50%? Are you telling he/she needs one more skin folder to achieve it? That way he/she already have 3 skin folder with almost the same things, except the hitsounds volume. Eh, I really don't want to change them this way, its pain in the ass, even if I just always needs to go to the Skin menu to change it. Not to speak about if I need to always copy them over.

In my opinion this is a pretty extreme corner case where the only reason why you'd want this is specifically to practice timing without feedback. And it's essentially that; playing a map, without hitsounds (audible feedback). The first solution you'd think of is to skin out the sounds. The other solution would be to lower the sounds volume, which consequently reduces the menu sounds.

So what you're trying to do is the second option, which has the drawback of lowering the rest of the sounds in the game. But you're saying it's annoying to use the menu without sounds, so you decide instead to make a feature request just for your specific case. Frankly, this isn't the way Feature Requests works; it will typically only be the most requested and popular requests that get added, due to high demand.

Plus, if people wanted to change their effects volume overall for whatever reason, they'd have to change two sliders instead of one, and adding extra options/toggles has always been a tentative thing to ask for.

This problem already has a relatively easy solution, and you said it yourself, you can just make a copy of your skin without sounds, and switch to it when you feel like playing without sounds. Switching skins is seriously trivial, you just go to the skins menu and change skins, it takes like 5 seconds. I really don't think having a second slider is necessary.

EDIT: Why does everything I try to explain properly end up being a massive wall of text...
tl;dr: no.

Why would someone want to change the volume of the menu in the first place? And it still will be the same as right now, I mean we have Global - Music - Effects. Now, just try to think about the Effect with the same way. Global - Menu - Gameplay. Or something similar way.

Changing the skin everytime I still think its not a proper way to solve this. Easy? Yes. Annoying? Yes. Copying the folder is also not the best way.
