Hello and welcome to the Kaizo Cup!

Players asked to themselves what they wanted to do deep down
They reached the conclusion they wanted to test their abilities against their peers
Thus,to grant the players wish,the Kaizo Cup was born
Translation: 1v1 tournaments at this rank range are surprisingly rare,so why not aim for a regular tournament series ?

The Kaizo Cup is an international 1v1 osu! standard tournament open for players between 1K and 6K(BWS)(rank^0.9937^badge^2) AND players who got top 3 in the TWMT. The website to calculate BWS is broken idk(rank 3300 with 5 badges is 1009 rank 1500 with 3 badges is 1001)
The goal of this tournament is to test your individual skill.
If you exceed or go below the rank range before Sunday 9 UTC,you are disqualified.
Matches are played with Score V2 and NoFail.
This is a double elimination tournament with a bracket reset.
For the sake of convenience,all scheduling will be done in UTC.
Players cannot reschedule 12 hours before a match. Some very very rare exceptions can be made.
Players cannot schedule bracket matches after Sunday 21 UTC. Alternatively losers bracket players are Not allowed to schedule their first matches after Sunday 0 UTC
Every match will be referee'd.
If you dont join the discord server before the end of the registration phase,your registration is invalid.
Staff,exept gfx/streamers/commentators are not allowed to play.

General

No cheating/multiaccounting. We reserve the right to deny registrations from suspicious accounts.
Don't be toxic or disrespectful to anyone regardless of "who started it". We reserve the right to deny registrations from people who are famous for their poor behavior.
You have 10 minutes to connect after the agreed time or else you will forfeit the match.
The referee will be host and will select the requested maps and the mod/s.
No unsportsmanlike conduct such as stalling,"throwing for content" etc.
You have 90 seconds to pick or ban a map.
Breaking those rules will result in a warning,or a suspension.
Forfeiting twice will result in a suspension for the next iteration.
Where rules do not prevail, common sense shall. Staff has explicit discretion to apply their judgement on issues as they see fit.

Qualifiers
The mappool will consist of 10 maps(4NM/2HD/2HR/2DT ) and will be played ONCE,starting from NM1 until DT2. No second Chance . Once you play a map you Must play the other maps.
Players will choose a lobby hosted by a referee at a specific hour. They may ask to play at another hour if none of the lobbies fit their schedule.
If a player fails to join the lobby at the right time and misses a map,they may choose to play the maps they missed at the end of the lobby(if the referee agrees) or reschedule to another lobby.
Following qualifiers, the top 32-64 players will move onto a double elimination bracket stage based on power seeding(#1 vs #32, #2 vs #31 and so on///#33 vs #64 #34 vs #63...)
-The top 32 players start in the Winners Bracket.
-The bottom 32 play start in the Losers Bracket.
Qualifiers rankings will be based on total points(Note:to avoid giving an unfair advantage to mods such as DT,HR scores will be divided by 1.10, HD by 1.06, DT by 1.2)

Brackets Stage
A referee will create a lobby 10-15 minutes before the scheduled match time and invite the players.
If a player comes unprepared/doesnt take the match seriously,the referee may use their judgement to deal with this situation.
If a player doesnt show up nor says anything 10 minutes after the scheduled time,they forfeit the match.
There are no warmups until Quarterfinals.
You are NOT allowed to ask to replay a match later once you started no matter your reasons.
Players cannot ban 2 maps from the same pool,exept NM.
Players cannot pick 2 maps from the same pool in a row,exept NM.
Players have 90 seconds to ban a map, should they fail to choose one within that time, the referee will ban a random map(roll number equals to pool size #1 map is NM1, etc)

Once a map is picked, players will have 30 seconds to ready up. Once the timer is finished, the referee will force start the map(!mp start 5).
This tournament has a special ban rule :players can ban a map ONLY after they each picked one map(refer to roll winner to know who bans 1st). You ban first THEN you pick another map. At quarterfinals and onwards,They unlock their second ban once they each picked 2 maps.
Freemod: each player must pick one of the followings: HD/HR/HDHR.
Tiebreakers are played with FreeMod enabled, however, do not require a player to use a mod. (NF is still enforced.)
In case of internet/hardware issues in the 1st half of a map, it may be replayed ONCE. If it happens again, the player loses the point.
The winner of the roll(!roll) picks AND bans 1st(Player A won the roll,the ban order is ABAB and A picks a map)
If a bracket reset happens,the picks and bans will be reset too. Players may change their bans for the second game.
Should a perfect tie happen,the map will be replayed.

If a player is eliminated by forfeit, they lose their prizes.
