So I got a new laptop and I've been doing a lot of games on it, requiring WASD setup. I wanted to change timeline movement to this as well, but when I tried to set it to that, there were no options regarding the movement of the timeline.

Would it be possible to add a feature for that for customizable timeline movement buttons?

Bumping this up since it seems nobody looked at it ;AA;

This is the sort of thing that should be considered a no-brainer... Adding more flexible control schemes for the editor is good. IMO you should be allowed to rebind all the editor commands. Coming up with a good keybinding can make things considerably more efficient.

If im not wrong, in each new laptop keyboard, even if it misses buttons, you can still get the same result with the "FN" key
EX: press fn+f11 to toogle numpad, with all its keys... and blablabla ♪-yes, im using a non numpad keyboard now and still I can make the alt+num1+num3 thing

I guess you could do that, but my main issue is that I'd like left-hand control of the editor timeline. Right now my left hand is sitting on the arrow keys, on the righthand side of my keyboard (where my numpad also sits), and my mouse is also on the rightside, so it feels a bit awkward.

have you tried using mouse wheel for navigation? this means your keyboard hand is free to access all the useful bindings on the left-hand side of the keyboard.

I use it rarely, but it seems like an ok alternative. The only issue I have with it is that rolling forward goes back in the timeline, while rolling back goes forward in the timeline, which is kinda awkward.
