I recently got this IDEA whilst making a skin for a beatmap I'm making, and figured it was worth enough salt for me to post it in here(as suggested by a few fellow members). Here it is:
Multiple Hitcircle images that are cycled through at the start of each new combo. in example, lets take the standard OSU! 4 combo colours, RED, GREEN, BLUE and YELLOW. With this feature, you could have a STAR image, a MOON image, a SUN image, and a EARTH image, and each combo you would cycle the hitcircle image between the 4, through a file naming convention. IF you make your map right, as in you always cycle the 4 colours in 1 exact order, you can add an interesting element to the game. You could have a GREEN EARTH, a RED STAR, A YELLOW SUN and a BLUE MOON for your skin. Now with my proposal if you changed the colour order up, then the images would not change to match, thus it could be possible to have all 4 colours of sun in one map
This feature is more targeted to those who add skins directly TO their maps, to add more pizzaz to their beatmap(I know I would do it to my BRS beatmap).
If this garners enough support, I could add more details and mabee some possible mechanics to this post.
Also, IF asked, I could quickly procure an example image as to what this would look like in game.
