I wanna clean my messy keyboard but I don't have a keycap puller. I can remove keycaps with my fingers and a pencil but I'm not sure is it safe or not.

The safest way to pull a key cap without a key cap puller is with a credit card

I wouldn't recommend using a pencil, as for the following reasons:
If you have something small enough that's thin, flat, and rigid to stick under the keycap to your assistance, like the first from the left in this Swiss Knive, you can use them too, just make sure it woun't be too sharp or hard to deform the keycap material when applying force.
Take good care of your keyboard, and cheers.
- Tip could be fragile and leave dust & debris in deeper parts of the keyboard
- Could leave marks on the keyboard or keycaps
- Can cause deformation on parts of the keyboard or keycap if used too much force

I used some tool (it's apparently for your feet - https://image-tb.airyclub.com/image/500_500/filler/31/33/74f562cf365fc2f7cfd4f66a24e63133.jpg (this is the first thing I found on google because my phone camera is broken)) to remove my keycaps and I think it was pretty fine.
I cleaned my keyboard and it looks good :}

I've personally used to the screwdriver method. taking it slowly worked fine, at least for me.
I use screw driver.
Put screwdriver front under the keycap and boom pull the screwdriver up and like this i lost my 8 keys because they start flying in air
