Chat anti spam or duplicate instead of auto silence

So as we may know BanchoBot automatically mutes people who spams in the chat. Instead of doing that, why not just a feature that denies duplicated texts from sending to the server? This is better than an auto-mod because there is a bug that when you have an unstable connection your message duplicates and BanchoBot will mark them as a spam and you'll get muted. I've experienced this twice and I don't want them to happen again.

But I imagine the silence is there to avoid deliberate abuse
