How do players get the number 1 spot in a beatmap? Like it says number 1 in your personal best but not in the leaderboard. Is there some sort of criteria?
This is what I thought too. I've also used mods and FCed the map and yet I couldn't achieve a higher spot. Although the accuracy and scores are the sameFaeAndSpirits wrote:
If there is a tie for SS with HRDTHDFL mods, I think whoever has the lowest unstable rate, or was more perfect gets placed higher. I only say unstable rate because it's an SS. Could be wrong tho
I've actually used more mods (giving me a higher score multiplier) yet still didn't get a higher spot. But anyway, thanks for the info! Such a big help!DiegoRaddatz wrote:
the percentage
score multipliers (mods)
if a score is perfect and use all mods
I think it is impossible to snatch the first place is achieved by the one who achieved it first.
but it is the mod that multiplies the score the most.
Hidden DT. FL HardRock.
and the one they use the most is dt + hidden
if you master them they will get the best positions
Full combo + good acc
and of course the more combos you do, the more the score multiplies
Nowadays all the maps to get to the best place you must use dt + hidden
but if you see that they use more mods you will not be able to overcome them
unless you use the same
local score only measures you
There is also a national of the country
and between friends
and worldwide
you can change the way you see the table here
mine is in spanish
where it says general, it is your place among the whole world.
Iirc it's just whoever gets it first, because in the top 50 leaderboard community people will camp maps to get perma #1'sFaeAndSpirits wrote:

That's why sometimes I choose maps without spinners cuz I know I'm bad at them 🤣 and it does affect your score especially if the other player is fast at spinning.MrSparklepants wrote:

But to OP's question, mods, a good example is cillia - FIRST [Advanced] a map Diego showed. The entire leaderboard is almost full score capped with HDHRDT and the #1 score is actually fully capped. To even get top 50 you'd need to put on the HDHRDT mods and on the spinner, you need to spin a near-perfect 477RPM (maybe like 400-477RPM). The more mods you put on the higher your score is, the base multipliers are 1.06x for HD and HR while DT and FL have a 1.12x. Spinners also affect score and depending on the map could make the difference of a #1 or #45 for example.

Yeah makes sense. It could be based on how perfect your hits areFaeAndSpirits wrote:
But in osu!mania, don't you not get 1mil score unless you get all rainbow 300's, not the yellow ones?
So, it could partially be about more than a perfect score, in osu!standard
I get it now 😅Yhuan Debeste wrote:
I dont... understand the problem? if you're talking about leaderboards in std it's just who has the highest score, and for ties, the one who got it first will be placed higher, I dont see anything complicated?
