what should i be aiming for atm?

i can play up until 1.5⭐ with like 80% acc because i just started a few hours ago. i read the improving thread in the pinned section and it said to play all keymodes equally but i can't hit jackshit anything above 4k. i wish to hear your guys opinion on this since the thread is like 8 years old at this point and i thought it maybe a tad bit outdated.

Play whatever keys you want to play. If you want to play 4k, play 4k. If you want to play 7k, play 7k.

Right now, you don't really need to aim for anything. Just play for fun! Download songs you like and play them. You will get better without noticing. Although I think aiming for atleast 90% acc before playing another song is a good idea. You don't want those B/C ranks piling up.

First, aim to hit the notes with decent accuracy (Around an A or 90%) then aim for an S (95%) later on.
Basically, enjoy the game.

A few tips: Keep trying and don't expect fast progress. Since you just started out, you shouldn't be mad that you're doing bad. Use a different skin as well. Also, don't be afraid to learn the other key counts (mainly 7k) but know that getting used to them will take longer than 4k.

Make sure your scroll speed is set to fixed and NOT BPM

Go to options and type "scroll", uncheck Scale osu!mania scroll speed with BPM
F3 to decrease speed, F4 to increase

actually it might be like that by default. i don't see it being much of a problem nowadays so that's what i'm guessing. do it anyway just to make sure.
